I am looking for knives designed by people who are involved in the martial arts/self-defense industry. This is what I have so far:

Any Emerson- Ernest Emerson:thumbup:
Al Mar SERE 2000- Colonel Nick Rowe
Benchmade AFCK- Chris Caracci
Spyderco Massad Ayoob
Spyderco Chinook- James Keating
Spyderco Yojimbo- Michael Janich
CRKT Hissatsu and others- James Williams

Can anyone think of any others?

A few that jump to me off the top:

Boker - Jim Wagner Reality Based Blade. Jim Wagner is a well known self defense expert. I am not all into "super steels" so maybe quality isn't favorable to a lot of ppl but I really liked it. It was really sharp and it seemed that some thought went into design. I will purchase another one at some point!

Kershaw - Steven Seagal knife. I had one of these and really liked it as well. I am not sure how much influence Steven Seagal had in the design and creation of the knife or if they just used his name as an endorsement. If I could find another one of these at a decent price I would pick one up. They have discontinued this model and I can only find them on Ebay for approximately $300.

Gil Hibben/United Cutlery - Kenpo Karate knives. There were two models made. You can still find them but it took me a few years to track down both models. Hibben was involved in the martial arts for many years. In 1968 Gil designed the Kenpo Knife for his black belt thesis on knife fighting using Kenpo tactics. This thesis became the basis of the Kenpo system's Long Form 8 (double dagger form) which uses two knives.

I've always been fascinated with knives and I've always been fascinated by martial arts. To me they go hand in hand, no pun intended:D
