Knives that have seen some use

Rykjeklut. Any markings on the blade? Looks like a Brusletto, and if it is it should have a laminated blade. Look down on the top of the blade and you should see a center portion, that would be a harder steel, with a softer steel on either side. John
Yup. 99% sure it's a Brusletto Bamsen.

What is that tape? Is it cloth/ rubber/ sandpaper type? I’m thinking of doing something similar. Thanks.
Thanks! It's hockey tape. It helps with the grip, but in heat over long use it gets gummy, so I have to replace it every so often (and after contact with food or blood). More cause for antler grips.

My old Puma Bowie has aged well. It's been retired from front line skinning duty for a few years but it has skinned many a deer. It is by far my most used knife.

My father found this knife in the trunk of an abandoned car he bought for parts. He said it was "like" what he carried in the war. The hats and shaving kit are his, US Army Air Corps WW2.
