Looks I am a minority here - I am always puzzled when someone describes comfortable handles way too wider and way too thin proportionally to the width/height for my taste. I rarely apply ful force to cut, and prefer to hold the andle in variety of ways. Not a woodcarver, but if somebody look at the handles of carving knives, their cross section is nowhere close to most of the modern knives. Seemingly, this is not a consern for many or worth a discussion, and my understanding of comfortable handle is unorthodox.

Opinel folding knives have very basic cylindrical handles that most seem to find comfortable.

Oval is good......

It depends on application. On some models I even like finger coils. And on other models I can't stand them.

Neutral handle is the best in my opinion.

Given the option - I'll choose either oval handle, or square handle with rounded corners.

Round handle is however dealbreaker to me. I want to be able to know where the edge is without looking.
