Title pretty much says it all. Had a guy contact me but I don't do classes and am quite a ways anyhoo. Anyone know of anyone in central Oregon teaching knife making classes?

Not quite central, but Murray Carter is up right next to Portland in Hillsboro Oregon.

Here's the link to all the classes/courses he offers: https://www.cartercutlery.com/product-category/bladesmithing-courses/

ETA: They can get a bit pricey so he'd have to be seriously interested in learning techniques from Murray, which in certain aspects are a good bit different in comparison to the western style of bladesmithing and knife making, such as the ABS etc.

Couple other thoughts:

Arnon Kartmazov (Bridgetown Forge) does kitchen knife smithing classes in Portland, too - he's trained in Japan and under Uri Hofi, so his style is an interesting hybrid.

There's a group of makers from the OKCA called the 5160 club, and they appear to be very interested in sharing & teaching. They might be with investigation; their newsletter lists some additional classes not previously mentioned here: http://www.elementalforge.com/5160Club/
