Koyote in The Backwoodsman

Christoff, one of your knives appears in the latest (Jan/Feb 2011) issue of The backwoodsman. The title of the article is, A Discussion on Outdoor Knives by Brendan Gausvik on pg. 45. I think the the knife shown is an Alaskan.
The article is a good primer.

Just so happens that the last chance gas station on highway 50 (my "corner" store) carries that.
So I will go pick it up.

The knife, almost certainly, is the "ancestor" of the alaskan design, the Sierra Machete (as in Sierra Nevada), which is a wee bit lighter than the alaskan in blade design, and those have traditionally been a bit longer in the blade
