KPL Regular or Heavy - When to Use Which?

Hello all,

I have heard really great things about KPL and so I decided to buy a combo pack with their new KPL heavy included. I am learning more and more about knives every day but I am honestly unsure of when to use which.

I understand that the KPL heavy is more viscous and less runny. My question is, what types of knives and actions should I use one vs. the other on and why is that? Thanks guys!

If you want the action to be more hydraulic and intentional use the heavy. If you want the knife to flick open and closed use the light.

Use a tiny drop of heavy in the detent hole. Use a tiny drop of regular kpl on each side of the blade in the pivot area. Don't use any more or it will go all over the place and less is better.

Use light for bearings, or on washers you want to be "flicky". Use heavy on washers where you want a slower action - deliberate opening, vs. flicky.
