KSF sheaths

Hey everyone just had some questions about KSF sheaths. Does anyone carry a sheath with a streamlight microstream in the additional pocket? I'd like to get a pocket sheath and I was looking at the Pocono but I want to make sure the flashlight would fit. As for the knife I'm looking into getting a small custom that would hopefully fit the sheath. Anyone who has experience with these sheaths or similar ones have any suggestions as to what accesories fit different models? Pics are welcome! Thanks

This is what I carry in my Pocono -- a BRK Micro Drop Point and an iTP EOS A3.

This is an older model pocket sheath (don't remember what it was called) I carry while woodswalking -- BRK Little Creek and firemakings. :)

Looks like a great set up! I tried to find some info on your flashlight and looks like it is 14mm in diameter and the streamlight microstream is 15mm. Is your flashlight pretty snug? I know 1mm probably wouldn't be too different so I'm assuming they would fit about the same. That micro drop point is a pretty good looking knife as well..

Here's a Spyderco Street Beat and a Preon 2 in a KSF Allegheny. It's the size up from the pocono. These two fit quite perfect in there.

I'm pretty sure the extra millimeter won't be a dealbreaker, T_MAC. :D Incidentally, I carry my iTP in the KSF Pocono lens-up (butt-down). The tab of the lanyard remains out, easy to grab and deploy.

Lots of small fixed-blades to choose from, by the way -- BRK, Koster, ESEE (I think), others.

JK's Allegheny rig has me thinking about doing another pocket sheath setup. Sheesh. ;)

I have a Streamlight that I can carry in any of the three sizes. I usually keep it in an Allegheny, but it fits the Adirondack and the Pocono. t's a little long for the Pocono but the diameter's OK after some break-in.

Thanks everyone for the replies! Im thinking Ill go with the Pocono, the knife I am hoping to get would be around 5" so im assuming it would be too small for the Allegheny if that fits a Street Beat which is around 7". I'm loving the pictures, they are getting me excited to start my own pocket sheath system!

Sounds like you're flirting with an addiction to pocket sheaths, and (obviously) you're not alone. Glad to help.

Haha yea I know there is a large number of people that use pocket sheaths and I'm really starting to appreciate fixed blades, and small ones at that! For the most part I just have and carry folders but I like the idea of a fixed blade for simplicity and not having to worry about using it harder than I might normally do. I was hoping to get more people posting pictures of their pocket set ups so we can all get jealous! ;)

OK... here ya go! The flashlight is a Streamlight ProTac 2 AAA. The barrel & head fit in all the sheaths, but the body is just a tad long for the Pocono sheath.

I'd have to say my Bradford Guardian 3, even though I didn't show it in the pix. The blade's a bit thinner than the Essentials (my 2nd favorite), and the knife is a little lighter with a longer cutting edge than the Essentials. The G10 handles have a nice grippy pattern to them and the steel is M390 in a spear point blade. It's just a really tough worker. The Essentials are gorgeous and Mike does a nice job on the handles and the convex edges, but the Bradford is a better slicer and a lighter carry. I use the Allegheny pocket sheath with it. The knife pouch on the others is too narrow. The G3 has a wide blade even though it's a thin one.

Yea I know a few other members that love their Guardian 3's- Is yours a full flat ground version? That would be a sweet little slicer

Yeah... I got one of the FFGs with a dark stonewash. It put everything else back in the drawer when it came.

I will definitely have to pick one of those up some day! What about a favorite knife in the 2" range for blade? Have a favorite there? That's more the size of blade that would fit in the pocono sheath correct?

I carry a candiru with tkc g-10 and a Vic cadet (I prefer to carry my flashlight in front left pocket) in one of my Pocono sheaths daily and it fits both perfectly. Drops in my back right pocket and its barely noticeable.

You have a picture of your sheath set up to show off to us?

I'm sorry bud, I dont....whenever i have extra cash and could actually buy a nice camera, I buy either a new knife, firearm, reloading supplies, or ammo :D

I just measured for ya, and only 3/4" of the candiru is exposed when in the Pocono, making the package just a hair under 6" overall . Without the scales, it obviously could tuck a bit deeper in the sheath, but the g-10 scales are widest at the end, and it allows for enough handle to grip when you wanna remove it from the sheath...I don't use a lanyard on that little knife. They're definitely worth it tho, skeletonized vs with the scales, its a completely different knife in your hands.
