the rat 1 uses 2x slick rubber lego tires , really grippy great as a work lanyard ...works well with gloves on etc

Don't have any pics as I am at work but, I have been making my own beads. Using wood, G-10 antler etc. with a dremel and sand paper. Also made one out of a couple of bullet shell casings.

Id love to see them . Ijust found some of these antique glass beads ...

Working on a skull bead lanyard for one of my sanrenmus right now .

I've yet to make a lanyard, but have done plenty w/paracord. Here are the beads I've used so far:

I take it back, I have made a lanyard, just not for a knife. This is for my wife's ID for work:

Pictures coming later, but I use 1/4" hex nuts instead of beads due to the low cost and high durability.

I've used beveled brass plumbing pieces (not sure what it's called, pic below) in 1/4" diameter...

I usually keep my lanyards in my purse, with my makeup.

That is exactly how I use to feel and I even make paracord crap, I actually really enjoy weaving even but just didnt like lanyards. However I now carry a knife in my back pocket and draw it left handed using the wave to open it and the lanyard I have on that knife makes waving it much more reliable and overall easier to find/grab.

On my EDC knife I still don't like a lanyard as it gets in the way, both in pocket and in hand, but for my back pocket knife (a kershaw shallot with cut wave) the lanyard is perfect.

I've been putting my lanyards on the split riveted key rings. They're not quick detach, but they come off and go on easy enough for the smaller knives.
