Anyone else get the LAPG email with their new knives and see what looks like a modified leek without any kershaw markings? Just curious if it is a leek or if its a knock off, and given the price I'm thinking the latter.

Definitely a knock off and a rather blatant one at that. The bladeshape, flipper and thumbstud/stop pin and the shape of the scales right behind it all appear to be just a bit different than the Leek. The LAPG knock off also 440C whereas Kershaw uses 14C28N.

Shame, I like the blade shape, kinda like a random leek.

* waiting for someone to pop in and claim that it isn't a clone, or that they can't afford the real thing, or some other justification for this sort of &*$%## *

Looks like a knock-off. Handle and blade shape are both off, the the flipper protrudes out a bit farther than normal (assuming those aren't what they modded). Handle is missing the safety tab. And the blade has "China" stamped on it (all Leeks are made in the US).
