Just received this large Sebenza "P". That means "Production" and was stamped on the non-handmade Sebenzas until 1994. At least this is what I found out.
The blade is ATS34 and it's polished.
It's a knife that was carried and used but it's in great shape.
The handle is lightly scratched and the beadblast is worn out in places, but looks good.
The blade looks like it wasn't sharpened much, if at all. The tip is a bit rounded I guess from eating in a plate. I'll have it sharpened properly.
I gave it a good clean, it looked like it was never dismounted and cleaned. Loads of gunk in the pivot area and arround the standoffs.
The action is glassy smooth, and everything works like it should. Lockup at about 50%.
It came with a belt leather sheath but I'll get a leather sheath with a pocket clip to carry it.
All in all I'm very happy about this one
