I'm looking for any large, sword-like knives with blades in the 12-15 inch range. Any help is appreciated!

Can you be more specific, style, purpose, traditional, "tactical", cost, production, or custom?

Daniel Fairly posted a Pirate sword recently that's just awesome.
Bruce Culberson, Rick Marchand, David Farmer, Scott Roush, Church and Sons, and so many other makers are right here on BF's.
The Swamp Rat Ruki is worth looking at, at least for eye candy's sake.
Ka-Bar has some new "Zombie" killing large blades out, very affordable.
Zombie Tools has quite a few choices in that range, I think. I have no idea if they are quality, but they have a specific style for sure.

What's your price range?
I agree with Foxx & Wharn. I have a Swamprat Waki & just got my Cold Steel Magnum Kukri. I LOVE this combo. The Waki is expensive but well worth the price. I've taken it backpacking, used it to chop fire wood, dig holes & well, brake things. I can stand on it at a 45 degree angle with the tip on concrete and it goes back to true every time. Indestructible & keeps a crazy edge. SR-101 (5160) is a great steel. 5160 is used in Zombie Tools's stuff & it their heat treatment is anywhere near as good, they are worth it too.
I haven't used the Magnum Kukri yet but I have no doubts about it. I've used their "Heavy Machete" for years. & the Magnum is a thicker steel. not as springy & wont keep an edge but tougher than sh**. take a pull though sharpener a couple times *the ONLY thing I find them useful for are machetes, by the way* & you're good to go. if you bend it. use a hammer.
I'm honestly not a fan of Cold Steel as a company but I can't argue that they make some of the best machetes for the buck.
I'm REALLY interested in the Ruki but just found out about it the other week. but I really prefer my waki & mag kukri combo. Zombie Tools looks like a good company but know nothing about them beside that they make badass looking stuff from great steel.
if I get the money, I'm getting a couple things from them. they even have some Kukri like blades.

Waki:
~300 (If you get lucky) to 500

ANY Cold Steel Machetes:
10-30 (you pay more, you're getting ripped off)

Zombie Tools:
200-500

All worth the prices in my opinion.

PS. check out http://hossom.com/ If you have the money. He'll even do custom designs. not a fan of S30V on big blades, personally, but really want a large CPM 3V blade. also anything from Busse & again. Worth it but stupid expensive *in a good way*.

This is a work in progress of mine. 14" blade.

Here's the original test blank before tweaking the design.

how about this?
depending on price range, as this guy got it made custom.

depending on your price range you might be able to just have one made for you

Thanks Foxx, it was cool to see my work mentioned.

Here it is, 18" long 5/32" 1095 with about a foot of blade and a sharpened swedge.

wow, that is one sweet chopper!

Do you have a website where i can browse (and maybe order something)?

1/8" 1075. The profile will be changed to match that of the revised illustration in the OP. :)

Scorpion swords is reasonably priced and has some long knives. They are well built but on the lower end of the food chain if you know what I mean.

+1 for Daniel Fairly. He just got a bigger kiln now too, that can handle what you have in mind.
