Back in 2003, it was this 12' 8" (when fully opened), #268.9 model, designed by Portuguese artist Telmo Cadavez, handmade by Virgílio, Raúl and Manuel Pires. Looks very legit to me.

Then in 2010 this "pocket" knife which looks like an aluminum ladder/folding melon knife, was fabricated in India and resides at the Pink Square Mall in Jaipur, India. It's 19.75' long when fully opened. It was designed and made by the Garima Foundation and Pankaj Ojha. Looks like a half-baked "record setting only" attempt to me. Shown with what was once the world's longest (40') spoon.

In late 2019, Red Hill Cutlery of Radcliff KY unveiled a 37.5' (17.5' blade), #6,200, fully functional "pocket" knife which requires a crane to operate. It also serves as a sign for the Red Hill Cutlery and Knife Museum, and awaits official Guinness recognition. An honorable creation indeed! 'Murica!
