Laser engraving on spine of knife - recommendations?

I recently picked up the Esee 6, and stripped the powder coat. It occurred to me that (to me, at least), it'd be cool to have a short text quote engraved along the spine of the knife, just before the jimping. "Journey before destination."

The Esee 6 isn't the thickest knife out there, but it's got some beef to it. I don't know the limitations of laser engraving, but after googling knife spine engraving and seeing some of the insane detail and pattern work some people do, I figure getting small text on there shouldn't be impossible? Forgive me if I'm wrong about that - that's why I'm asking.

If this is a rather custom request, as I fear it might be, can anyone recommend a good engraver who might be able to help me out, or explain to me why it can't be done? Thanks!

It's a big knife, but I don't know if I can fit the whole oath on there! Heh. But you can be damn sure it'll be posted on every stormlight forum and sub I can find! My radiant knife.. swoon.

Find a local place that sells trophies and see if they can do it for you. I just had some laser engraving done on another object and it turned out great.
