Has a magnet ever been considered for a locking mechanism instead of the latch (when opened and closed)? I was just curious, would this cause any problems when flipping a balisong?

So, according to the previously mentioned thread, Chuck Gollnick is the only member of the forum who has handled one of these magnetic latch balisongs. Perhaps he is the only one who can answer my question about flipping capability. Do the magnets become a problem, attracting eachother at the wrong time, etc.?

havent seen you in a while, how's that bali you were working on going. IS it finished or still being made. Good luck on the finised product. Post some pics once finished if possible.
