This knife is a bit of a mystery. Trying to date it or trace it origin is kind of tough. Here's why.

The knife is a nickel silver LB7. The handles are ivory micarta. The Bighorn ram scrimshaw art is unsigned as far as I can tell.

This type of micarta was used in the 1990s on a number of SFOs. Here are some pics I harvested from the inter-webs.

The burgundy micarta NRA PH1 knife was a 1995 issue as per Larry here: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/nra-ph1.478362/#post-4659507.

The tang-stamp on my knife is the earlier 2-line version without the "Uncle Henry" script. The location of the lockbar pivot is the earliest one which changed mid-1990s.

Best guess, it's a mid-1990s knife with factory micarta handles. I think it could be factory scrimshaw as well. The subject matter and style fit in very well with other Schrade Scrimshaw knives. A scrimshander contracted by Schrade to do custom pieces might have been told not to sign them so Schrade could take all the glory. Artists generally like to sign their work.

The 1993 Special Edition Knife Program flyer specifically mentions custom scrimshaw on micarta as an option. https://collectors-of-schrades-r.us/Special_Orders-Gifts/images/1993-Special_Edition_Knife_programs.pdf
I assume these SFO options were available before and after 1993. We just don't have a nice flyer showing them.

Other possibilities? Older 1980s LB7NS skeleton with newer 1990s micarta completed as End-of-Days knife and scrimmed post-factory or 1990s micarta SFO with post-factory scrimshaw.

Whatever its origins, I like it!
