Just finished this one for myself. Too much sheath? No such thing!
It's 4 layers thick (exactly 1/2") and stitched by hand using #244 bonded nylon thread.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Thanks guys! This is only the 3rd leather sheath I've ever made. I'm learning alot and really looking forward to making more.
I'll be making a sheath for my Gene Ingram hunter and my Ontario SK-5 in the coming weeks. Can't wait to get started!

Nice work....I'm not a rivet fan, but those look pretty good.....and yes, it's a lot of leather for a minimalist kinda knife, but that's the beauty of making your own gear, you make em like you want em :-)

You do good work...your attention to detail is very good.

Thanks Rayban! I considered making it without the screws in it but I love 'over building' my stuff. I would have used eyelets but I don't have any that are long enough!
Take care and thanks again.

Very nice work. It's obvious that you took your time and paid close attention to all of the details.

Stout little booger, and very nicely done. Good finish work.

Rivets, screws, etc..........they don't really add a heck of a lot of strength in stress areas. In fact, they probably just about compensate for the the big hole you had to punch to set them in. You used to see them used a lot in factory supplied sheaths....the reason...they are fast and cheap. A double stitch wherever you think you need a rivet or screw should provide about the same security.

Welcome to BF super 61. Be a good idea to take your question off line to extremesurvival. Please take a minute to read the forum rules.

He can't sell on this particular forum at all and he must have at least Gold membership to sell in the exchange, so he would have to violate the rules to answer your question with a price. I am NOT the forum police, just trying to help a newcomer out. I hope you enjoy it here.
