Figured its time to pick up a Leatherman Charge TTi.
while searching online, I've noticed there are 2 versions of the Charge TTi - "original style" and "new style"
As far as I can tell, they seem to have the exact same functionality yet differ a bit cosmetically.
Does anyone know of a difference between the two?
Would also very appreciate your thoughts and suggestions in general about the Charge TTi.

Does the earlier version have the S30V blade? If I didn't already have a Wave, I'd splurge on the Tti.

The earlier Charge Ti had a 154cm PE blade, while the current TTi has the S30v and in addition a "cutting hook" on the serrated blade spine and a cap crimper on the the plier jaws. Other than that, they are identical. Although I have a TTi, I would have preferred pliers without the crimper, but that hasn't been a handicap so far and everything else rocks. During the 6 years I've had it, almost everything else has slowly been kicked out of my EDC rotation. For me, the TTI is at the sweet spot for carry and utility.

Oops, I didn't read carefully. Clearly, the OP was looking at two versions of the TTi, not Ti vs. TTi. The only difference between the two TTi Charges is cosmetic, different colors on the handles, everything else is the same..

The TTi in the new version is my favorite multitool, but either version of the TTi are great tools.

I also have new version TTi and it's great. S30V blade sharpen to 30 degrees is now more than razor sharp, scissors are very well made and strong to my suprise, saw can cut throug bones, etc. Must have item if you ask me.

These two are Charge Ti's, bought when they first came out back when. Titanium handles and 154cm PE blade. One is natural, the other all black. One of these goes with me when I walk out the door.
