Hi!

Is there anyone out there that knows where I can get hold of a molded sheath for the first version of the Leatherman Wave?

Have emailed leatherman, and the company that made them is no longer in business...

Perhaps someone have one laying around or know where I can get one, or perhaps one that are very similar just not original.

Any tips is appreciated!

Because its molded and very slim. I have a couple of their other sheaths and none of them holds the plier especially good or rides tight on the belt. My friend has one of the molded ones and its very sleek and sits really nice on the belt.
The leather one are quite nice, but I would want a nylon one instead.

I haven´t seen that sheath before my friend showed it to me, I also got one of the first that came out and I got a leather sheath for mine.

Yup, I have one of those and I don´t like it much :)

I´m rather picky... :)

It's hard to find the perfect sheath. i got a new charge tti recently and it came with the leather sheath. stiff as a board, impossible to close if you have the bit kit inside. i replaced it with the nylon charge sheath very quickly. I'm currently carrying a swisstool spirit and i love the sheath but i wish it had a snap instead of velcro.

You could always go the custom route. There are plenty of sheath makers on the boards here.

Yup, I´m thinking of a custom kydex sheath, but don´t think I could make one myself right now. I will be looking for some custom sheaths though. If you got any good suggestions feel free to share :)

How about a cell phone pouch (horizontaly) I carry my Charge or Wave that way. Works out real well, besides it stays low-profile to the Authorities and doesn't rub against my gut or on the side ribs. Also I am able to get to it faster when needed.

Hmm... why didn´t I think of that?

I will look into this! Only problem is to find one that fits really good. Thanks for the advise!

I found a picture of the sheath you are talking about.

I love, love, love that sheath; it is one of the best multi-tool sheaths ever made. I believe that it is an Accu-mold sheath made for Leatherman by Bianchi. Later they switched to save costs.

If you look on eBay, you can find one, but you usually have to get a Wave along with it. You can usually flip those without too much effort and end up with a sheath.

BTW, I have three of those sheaths. :D:D:D The one on my belt has been there basically since the first wave came out; I got a shoesmith to add two horizontal loops and it hasn't been off my belt except for when I travel by air. The outside looks practically brand-new, but the insides are just a tiny-bit chewed up. I figure this one should last me into 2020. The other two are backups.

Hey SpyJ, send me a PM and maybe we can work something out for one of my spares. Oh, I've already taken off the "Leatherman WAVE" label, so they are all "sterile" sheaths.
