I am going to carry this tool in my pocket everyday for edc. Is the extra weight of the CS4 worth it for the extra tools?

the only reason i want the cs4 is for the saw, so if anyone has suggestions of something like the s2 with a saw?

I went with the CS4 but honestly, for EDC the S2 seems more than enough. It really depends on how often you drink wine and saw wood.. lol

Several years ago I picked up a NIB CS4 for no other reason than a price I couldn't refuse. It wasn't something I had really wanted, so at first it was a tossup whether to keep it or sell at a profit. My decision was to use it on a trial basis, then sell it used for more than I paid (got it REALLY cheap.) Eventually, I grew fond of the little Juice and it went into rotation.

Although I have so far used the saw only once and the corkscrew thrice, I found the awl really useful, once sharpened. For the small difference in weight, I find the CS4 that bit more versatile than the S2, just as easy to carry, and who knows that someday I might find myself in another wine bottle/no corkscrew crisis. I like being a hero once in a while. :)

Saving the day is what we EDC-ers are all about.

"Don't worry, sweet momma, I can clean the terminals on your car battery and get your motor running before you know it. If you know what I mean."

As for the saw thing, you might also consider combining two smallish tools to get everything you are after, like an S2 and Farmer for example.

how about their sizes? are they bigger than a huntsman? (ofcourse they are wider but how about their width and length?)

I like having the corkscrew for the occasional bottle of wine but more for a place to store a mini screwdriver and undoing knots.

Have you checked out the Wingman? My brother carries an S2. And I carry a Wingman. I don't think that he's got anything more than I do. While mine has a better pair of scissors and larger sprung pliers.

i think i'm gonna buy a latherman juice but i can't decide which one i should buy (yeah i know i can't decide a thing if it's a multitools subject :( :D ) i have a swiss champion plus already and it does all the things that a juice cs4 can do execpt the pliers.i don't wanna pay much money just for the pliers but juice series look cool :)

If you can find a KF4 on the bay it might suit your needs better. Its my favorite Juice by far. But it is disco`d. Of the two Juices you`ve mentioned I`d choose the CS4. The corkscrew can be used for other things besides corks. :)

I asked myself the same question. Wanted a saw too but could have left the cork screw. Didn´t want a nearly 200 gramms heavy thing always with me for the little things i do and only for "just ion case".

Taking an S2 and a SAK Farmer would have been two things (three, because i carry a small fixed in my front pocket).

So i choosed the CS4 and i am pleased with the less weight and the versatile tool. I may miss a file sometimes, but not a diamond coated one like on the KF4, a simple metal file with metal saw would be better than a cork screw.

I've been carrying a CS4 for a couple of months now, not every day but often. It's not a lightweight pocket carry ... like carrying a Swisschamp around nearly. But the tools are awesome.

I find myself wanting a S2 just for the cool orange color, however. How stupid is that reason? And I want a KF4 just because they are discontinued and tricky to buy without overpaying. But the diamond file and serrated blade look interesting. I've bid on a few XE6's on eBay, but they always go for more than I care to pay. And, frankly, the extra weight of the XE6 would just be too much. Might be a good tool to keep in the car. But for a car-tool, I have a lot of cheaper options.
