What's a good product to use on the rivets that will keep them looking like new and won't damage the leather?.

You failed to mention what kind of rivets you are trying to protect. Copper, Brass, Nickel over Brass, Steel, Stainless Steel or other????? Copper and Brass will patina naturally, and in addition Copper when exposed to even light oil, moisture or even just air will over a very long period, develop the green Verdigris which is pure hell to clean off of leather. Frequent wiping (once a month or more) will probably eliminate the formation of the Verdigris. Need more information from you to be of any more help.

Sorry, they look like brass to me, I doubt that they're plated. It's the sheath that comes with the Rebar, which is made in Mexico.

Just brisk rubbing with a cloth should maintain them. You might also use a product like Flitz which is a very mild polish, or even common toothpaste which is also a very mid polish/abrasive.

Thanks for the info, I do have some Flitz I can use, 5.29oz. of the stuff. :) Haven't used it in awhile though.
