I guess they're not going to be available to the public for a while yet, but has anyone had a chance to review one?

They are a lot heavier (12 vs 8 oz), but I'm wondering how much that extra 1/2" length will help.
 
Just imagine a Wave Tool the size of a Super Tool!
The Surge also has the largest Sissors found on a Leatherman and it also a removable file and saw that can be easily replaced from the hardware store.
And yes at 12.5 ozs its one heavy multi-tool!!

Kap: Yep. I'm planning to check them out whenever they come out. I'm probably going to take the plunge and get one even though I really wonder about the weight. Thanks for your response. Jeff
