Any of you folks carry a Wave, Charge or similar size large multitool in your pocket (instead of using a belt sheath) on a daily basis? I'm trying to get used to carrying my Wave in my pocket for EDC in place of the large folder that I have always carried but it is really uncomfortable so far. I have a pocket clip on order so maybe that will help once it comes in.

Brian6244, I have never been able to carry a multi in my pocket. I have never carried one with a clip but see this a good possiblity. let us know how the clip works out.

I occasionally carry my Charge Ti clipped in my left front pocket when in jeans. It's a bit heavy if I have no belt on, but otherwise ok. It's a little bulky and interferes with pulling my Palm from the same pocket, but if I'm working around the house, tha Palm's not there, so no problem.

I think it would go better in my left rear pocket, but then it interferes with my Surefire L4. I love the pocket clip's design as it can pop off quickly if I want to return to belt sheath carry.

I found the original Wave too big to carry in my pocket comfortably, although the clip on the new model works fine to temporarily clip it to a pocket while in use to free up both hands. The Ti model is bulkier, especially if carrying the bits in the sheath. Anyway, I prefer the leather belt sheath because the snap doesn't make as much noise in the woods compared to the velcro closure on the nylon sheath.

I have an old Wave and a Charge Ti. I've tried to carry in my pocket but after a while, it just gets too heavy and bulky. I end up leaving them in a desk drawer. I've had a Swisstool Spirit for about 2 months now and I've been carrying it in my back pocket along side my wallet everyday. I hardly notice it's there. I think this will be the first multitool that will last in my pocket. It's not as full-featured as the Charge Ti, but I feel it is comparable to the older Wave.

Good luck,

S.

I sometimes carry a Charge Ti in the front pocket of my jeans but I prefer the back pocket. I have a Spirit too but haven't carried it without the sheath. I'l have to try that. The only thing is that the knife on the Spirit is almost useless for me so it will never replace my knife the way the Leatherman can.

I don't carry my Wave anymore, but when I did, I carried it vertically in my right rear pocket, up against the outside pocket seam, next to my bandanna. It worked fine there for me.

That's exactly where I keep my Surefire L4 next to a bandana:)

I have the New Wave, both Charge, and I only carry those with my pocket clip eventually, its great for a little time, after a while it is not so confortable, when I go shooting, hunting or fishing but for everyday carry I found it is not confortable, I wear khakis most of the time so maybe jeans will be better.
With the 5.11 tactical pants is confortable. The clip si only $5 so is worth to give a try.

The biggest tool I can comfortably carry in my jeans pockets is my Victorinox SwissChamp. Left front pocket, under my wallet.
