I have had a Leatherman Wave in my pocket or on my belt for more than twenty years. Ive lost a few, but always got another one.

I would like to see them put heftier scissors on and switch to a higher grade of blade steel, but I am not really looking for a different model just to have a new knife. . . .maybe a flipper deployed blade with assist?

What is new from Leatherman in this form factor?

Higher prices? ☹️

I'd recommend trying a surge. I carried a wave for years before getting a surge. I enjoy the more rugged pliers, scissors, etc.

My wave I put a s30v blade on. When I got my surge I moved my s30v blade from my wave to my surge.

It's a reasonable reason to me. I still carry my surge dropped in my pocket, but the difference in tools when you use it, you don't feel like it's a "multitool" feels substantial. Having options is a good thing

Sounds like you want a Charge TTi. S30V blade steel. Titanium handles. If his is out of your price range. Look at the Charge+, it has a 154CM blade and aluminum handles.
