I was wondering how you guys attach leg ties and wrist lanyards to your knives. I've seen some interesting things done with paracord to keep it in tight bundles on knives. It seems everyone has their own way of doing this.

I'm setting up my BK-7 to carry about 3 meters of cord. I wanted two on the leg tie and another section as a wrist lanyard. The leg tie bundle is nice and tight. That much I know how to do. I was hoping to find some sort of neat looking, large knot to tie for the wrist that would provide extra grip for my two fingers to give the Becker extra chopping power.

My trouble is that I'm no wizard with knots. I know all the basic knots but nothing too fancy. Mac

Mac, one way to incorporate some extra cord into your leash/fob is the Chris Reeve Coil Knot as shown at the links below:

Instead of wrapping a single outer layer, you could conceivably double- or triple-wrap before finishing the knot.

An even better knot for eating up a bunch of cordage in a hurry is the Sinnet knot:

Here are some knot-tying pages from our old buddy Google:

i usually wrap my handles and wrap the sheath if its stiff enough. i wrap it, and tie the ends on the same way and a person would whip a rope end with thread to keep it from unraveling. look in the survival book it usually will have this knot in it. i know tom browns does and so does the sas survival handbook.
