Finally decided what to do with these Micarta scales. Popped the Marlboro logo scales off one of my Outdoorsman.

I replaced the toothpick with a little fire starter rod and that orange stuff you see is some fire starter material.

I really like mine. Thick and heavy but everything locks up solid and it carries easy in my back right pocket.

I’m admittedly new to Leatherman, I’ve always been a Victorinox guy, so I’m excited to put it through its paces…

Fixed the leatherman asymmetric grind (tm) and polished the blade. Not perfect job (the pics don’t show it) but I reckon if I use the blade a bit it wont show that much.. and it’s a tool anyway. I think it looks nicer now closed as the blade and the frame finish matches.

I just took the knife in post 2792 (above) apart to anodize the scales. This is what the innards look like. ALM is a Polish outfit that uses Victorinox innards.
