Lets see your CPK in Leather!

The weirwood carvings by the Children of the Forest in Westeros may have crossed my mind. History, mythology, and fantasy all have a bunch of references to the faces of wise spirits carved into old trees. I dig them quite a bit.

Hey! What's my Gramp's mug doing on that sheath's artwork?!!!

I was just thinking that same thing about Jo's grandmother. Although it's going to be difficult to capture all the wrinkles with just leather.

Do you have any really old dried out leather?

Just for the record, my Gtamps (RIP) is unrelated to Jo’s Granny!!!

Grog may have some older stressed leather. He should still have a pile of his Eff ups!

I don't know that I'd trust leather that was actually old and cracked but a little judicious beating might make for a pretty neat piece.

This is two pieces of scrap from the same type of leather.

Mistakes?! Me?!

Now that I finally have my choppers back in hand, I was able to take a few more pics of both blades and their respective sheaths together. The fluorescent lighting does a horrible job showing the depth and variance in the red tones, but this is such a nice pair! I'll try to get some better pics with natural lighting soon (if the rain ever stops here in the PNW).

I have a set or Buffed Maroon Micarta scales w/ Black Liners for the Light Chopper and will be getting a matching set for the Behemoth (once those are available), then the Zombie Choppers will be "complete"! :D

Thanks again grogimus grogimus
