Let's see your Scout/Camp knives

........and boy did GEC do a fine job on those Knives didn’t they Charlie!!!
Absolutely everything about these knives is superb - the Punch Charlie mentioned is as lethal as it’s Main!!!
I have another one of these waiting to be sent over to me - just a magnificently built Knife.

I’m jealous. I’d managed to acquire a few from that run, but the smooth bone eluded me. The Texas Camp Knives are simply magnificent in every way.

What are you guys doing to me ? I want one of these and I cant find a thing . Tom

Thanks fellas

This is one serious knife. I'd been interested in them since I first saw one, right around the same time I discovered GEC. This is one where you read the specs of the knife and know what you're getting but when I first saw the tube I did a double take :D

They did real good, Duncan!! I managed to score one of the white ones last year (not so long ago!).

They don't come up often, Tom!! But don't give up. I chased certain knives for ten years or more, before finding one!!!!

Here’s one that was kind of a disappointment, from the big auction site. The main blade read HIGHCARBON STEEL U.S.A., and the rest of it looked like a WW2 army engineer knife. So it appeared to be a 1940’s Camillus-manufactured STA-SHARP scout knife with bone covers, made for Sears with no shield.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be just a parts knife. It’s a Camillus army engineer knife that had the main blade replaced with the blade from a Sears knife. My guess is that the blade came from a 2-blade jack, since it isn’t crinked for a scout knife. The other evidence is that the main blade isn’t very close to being flush with the springs on the backside of the knife.

But it will be a good user. The main blade is terrifically full, and looks like it was made for the engineer knife’s #14 pattern from Camillus. Walk and talk is good. I just need to crink things a bit to get all of the tools to line up properly. Beautiful Rogers jigged bone, although there is a tiny hairline crack near the can opener cutout, that should fix up fine with a bit of Krazy Glue.

I was taking a hard look at that one, but forgot to bid on it. Despite its unexpected surprises, looks like you got a decent knife for the money.

I nearly bought one of those Case Jr's the other day - they look to be an extremely well made knife all packed up into one slimline Package!

A trio of Remington RS3333 Boy Scouts of America knives, all seemingly manufactured between 1933 and 1935.

One knife has a cracked pile side cover. I’m considering sending it to somebody to have new covers put on, and then adding it to my carry rotation, or dedicating it to my hiking backpack.
