I'm a fan of smooth bone. Here's a few on my best looking smooth bone knives.
Northwoods giraffe bone, two Queen made Winchesters in yellow bone, and a Rough Rider in orange bone that I gave a dye bath in RIT brown to achieve a less uniform and more mottled look.

I think that this Colonial electrician model is bone, but I'm not completely confident. Bone seems kind of fancy for a Colonial knife.
