I need a beer knife. Thought about a Camp/Scout knife, but what other options are out there? I'm thinking about a two blade knife (maybe even single spring) with a bottle opener.

Thoughts?

Boker Evergreen series, still available. 440C and Olive. Single blade though

One of my favorites, the 2nd from the left, the Remington R4, made by Camillus. I have the hankering suspicion that all four of these were made by Camillus ;).

My other go to, the black alox Victorinox Pioneer, probably sitting in the brush overgrowth with my lost Leatherman Wave at my accident scene. I proudly bequeath them to whoever finds them, in exchange for my life :).

I also have a nice Primble Belknap scout with black delrin scales, they might be bone, and, a really nice one from Camillus, of a quite older vintage. Christian has a much nicer one than I do, and his pics would be better.

SAK Bantam, plastic or Alox, for a nice compact beer knife. Very light, single spring and thin, maybe 3.5" long. Not as classy as the GEC above, but less bulky and much cheaper (so not to sad if your beer goggles prevent you from finding it).

If I was going to look for that EO, what would I search for without finding all the GEC fancy bottle openers?

Edit: I found it. It was the 2011 Forum Knife. Not something easy to find. :(

If the Bökers are a little too wide/broad for you, you could check out Friedrich Hartkopf, Solingen.

They have a lot of single spring knives the a spear mainblade and a bottle opener on the other side...

Gonna send you a PM for not breaking forum rules, posting a non-BF-dealer... just give me a minute.

I really like the Camillus bullet knives but the blade configuration on the Remington is better.

I think the GEC easy open is awesome. Theres actually a mod you can do to make it work better; also, have you ever given thought to using a blade with a "long pull" to open your caps? Its a good alternative to keep a knife more compact, just my two cents.

Perhaps you would like one of these ?.

This Victorinox is a single spring design and is light, flat and sits well in a pocket.

This slim little knife has the bottle opener built into the handle. From circa 1920s, they can still be found for not much $
