The Liberty Bell,Paul Revere, and Minute Man were all released by Schrade at the time of the America Bicentennial 1776 -1976.All three are 3 5/8" Stockman pattern and are identical except for handle color, blade etching, shield design, and individual Tang Stamp. All came in acetate box complete with Registration Form.
There were 24000 of each released @$12.50 issue price.
All had liner registration number and I have Liberty Bell #00001 which makes it rather special. Photos for those interested. Hoo Roo

P.S. The 00001 Liberty Bell never appeared on Ebay for which I am grateful!

Larry,

Again, you amaze me with your collection. They are so unique.

I gave one of these similar Bicentennial Schrade made knives to a good friend.

Good job on securing the serial number 00001 Larry! Just recently got the third of the knives to complete my set.

Thanks Rusty.
Jackie, your photo reminds me one of the reasons to support our swap meet if we can get it going.
I am 2 Colonies short of a complete set of the 13 Colonies made by Schrade for Parker. The 2 I'm missing are New Jersey and Connecticut.<They dont come up often on the Bay now> I have lots of duplicates of other series so figure trading will be the way to go.
For the record so far I have the Stag Clasp plus North Carolina,Delaware,New Hampshire,Virginia,Georgia,South Carolina,Maryland,New York,Rhode Island,Pennsylvania & Massachusetts......photos attached....
P.S. I reckon I would make a good honorary Yank with my knowledge of your history gleaned through knife collecting.....how much do you blokes know about Oz? Hoo Roo

Larry,

You're more than a honorary Yank. You're a valued member of this Forum and a man I would call a friend.

I don't collect Schrade folders. I got that one as a gift for a good friend. He collects Muskrats. Thought it would make an excellent addition to his collection.

If I see another one, I'll email you.

That's a great price for a Paul Revere a knife 30 years old.<Was it someone from Great Britain that sold it to you?..it actually commemorates when they were beaten!!!> Schrade invariably had overruns in case of having to replace under warranty etc and it is quite common for numbers above the official issue numbers to be seen. Still as legit as the others. Hoo Roo

P.S. a tip when buying those 30 year old stockman types always ask the seller if there are any pin cracks in handle as many now have them particularly in middle pin through to liner.
