Hi all,

I don't often buy expensive knives. I've been having a blast searching the likes of "Flea Markets/Yard Sales/Thrift Shops" for old knives (Axes and Hatchets). I recently found a couple of nice vintage Sabatier Chef knives as well as other old Carbon Steel knives (Butchers, Herter's Improved Bowie, West-Cut Bakelite handle, Western 628 BTK, Mora Classic 54 Fishing Knife etc). That being said, I've grown particularly interested in buying old Paring knives. In fact, just today, I found a very nice condition (in this case) Stainless Steel CASE XX Sheep Foot Paring Knife with (me thinks) Rosewood handles for fifty cents! Another recent find I'm loving is a cool lil' old CLAUSS Sheep Foot Paring knife that cost me twenty five cents lol. It just so happens I have a tiny leather belt Sheath which fits these lil' Paring knives. I'm betting these lil' Paring knives would make a excellent companion to a larger Woods type knife. So, any other BF members carry/collect/enjoy old Paring knives ? I figure the "upside" to spending less money on knives is that I will have more disposable income for other things.....such as Scotch, Irish, Bourbon!

Regards,
HARDBALL
