Hey guys!

I've just received this LionSTEEL Bolus, and also a LionSTEEL Barlow Slim (reviews to follow)

I asked Andrea at LionSTEEL for a "dark rams horn", mainly because I wasn't a fan of the very pale look (personal preference here, appreciate it's beauty none the less!)

Undecided if I'd have preferred a bit more marbling (a few more lighter swirls and swooshes thrown in), but as it's a natural material, I'm acutely aware it's impossible to pick and choose!

The more I look at it, the more I love it.

I started off looking for something modern (the Barlow Sim) - Modern materials, titanium covers and a small footprint.

But damn….. this Bolus might be the most beautiful knife I've ever owned!

The Barlow slim is nice (very nice)….. But I'm not sure you can compete with those Rams Horn covers.

I'll be doing a YouTube review on both in time, so I'll keep you posted!

Any questions, fire away!

Beautiful knife! The Bolus series are excellent knives indeed. I've only ever owned the Otnat variant but I've been extremely pleased with them.

Did I say that's a good looking knife? :)

I see a lot of love for the Barlow series (and rightly so), but the added ergonomics, and extra material on the handle (as you don’t have the titanium bolsters), just makes this Bolus feel a bit more….. Old School?

The Rams Horn…… mmmmmmm, delicious!

Superb Ram's Horn on that one, it's a very rewarding material and tough too unlike some Bovine horn.

Very exciting knives I feel.

Regards, Will
