I tried etching with ferric chloride. Tell me what needs adjusting
 
Nothing wrong with the overall shape. You did good at the front of the scales in making it a curve.

Things that could have been improved:
The blade stock thickness looks rather thick.
Rivets look too large.
You would have been better with a FFG. The two sides don't match as it is.
Handle looks a bit blocky. Maybe a bit more rounding on the corners.
I could be the photo, but it looks pitted .... like you way over etched it.
 
1. All my steel is 3/16 thick. I will order 1/8.
2. I am going to start doing full flat grinds.
3. I having trouble getting thin scales round.
4. I definitely etched too long. Wanted it black and it ended up rusting.
 
For a small knife like that, 1/8" is still a bit thick. Try .09/.10" or even .065".
