New test video!

How did CRKT's Otanashi Noh Ken tactical folding knife equipped with the LAWKS system fare against the classic Cold Steel Recon I and our Tri-Ad lock?

LINK

Thanks

it seems crkt doesn't test there claims.

in reality, greater than 135 lbs force would not be difficult to generate in a 4 inch blade during a stab.

the crkt is after all a tanto blade which is designed as a tactical folder and thus should survive that sort of stress without the lock bar shattering.

The CRKT is a PURE stabber, not a heavy duty, folding knife like the Recon. I think this was a bad choice for comparison. I'm not sure if your tests accurately reflect the stress that occurs with normal knife use. I'm not really sure what the point is. Tough guys don't need to show everyone that they are tough. We already know the triad lock is strong.
The CRKT is a very cool knife like your med Espada and Talwar. I have the chunkier CRKT Hissatsu, and despite your tests, it is still one of my favorites.
I have 30+ Cold Steel products, but I still like/love my Spydercos, Sogs, CKRTs, etc. I think this will be my last Cold Steel "comparison" video. I can already predict what will probably happen. :thumbdn:

Cold Steel,Your knives are best for the price-period.Ive used them for years and they never failed me,and have few more on order.Other companies should back up their claims too.

I am constantly amazed at how Cold Steel's testing mirrors my own prejudices regarding knife locks.
