Logo etching

I think I'm going to strip my TGLB. What's the general consensus on saving the BUSSE logo on the blade. I've seen a couple that guys stripped and the logo was still there, and I've heard others say that the logo doesn't actually into the steel and it will disappear after stripping. Should I get some chemical and etch it just to be safe or is it even necessary? If I did do an aggressive chemical etch, do you think the lettering would survive a run through the bead blasting cabinet?

Good of you to ask. The subject has been done. I can't remember if it was here or the Swamp Rat forum. I didn't quite get the principle, it involved electricity......
