Looking for a Bird & Trout

One of my employees is asking me to help her find a bird and trout knife as a gift to her boyfriend. I may get one for myself but I don't really use the one I have now, but, that could be due to me not liking my custom B&T that much. Anyways, can anyone recommend a maker who builds these? I really liked Kreins TK design, but in all honesty, if I knew what in the world a B&T knife meant, I would be of more help to her. There doesn't seem to be a defined design of that type of knife, making me wonder if anyone really k ows what a B&T really is supposed to be. IMHO, it shouldn't be a large knife, but with a thin stock blade, stainless and a somewhat pointy drop point with some belly.

Heres my Bird an trout by Cousin Jack.....good knife

Below is a photo of a Jerry Fisk "Hunting Set" owned or was once owned by a friend.
Bottom, is Jerry's "Sendero" hunting knife which is one of the most recognizable and copied hunting knife designs in existence and
the top is Jerry's "Bird & Trout" version of his Sendero. I believe the photo does a good job showing generally how a Bird & Trout knife differs from
a hunter.

I suggest you look up Art Summers, he goes by ArtinNC on here. He makes only smaller knives and does a fantastic job on his B&T designs. Plus he would be somewhat local to you.

A B&T knife will have a lot of similarities to a paring knife, thin, light, comfortable edge up or edge down grip, although typically in the 2.5" to 4" blade range. I prefer .060" to .100" thick stock on my B&T knives, depending on blade height.

Hey Fes, what the hell do you call that thing?! That's one crazy looking fish! But it has wings so I guess you use the bird and trout portion of your knife at the same time?!
