Just as the title states I am looking for an edc organizer that I could carry in a pants pocket. Not a cargo pocket, either front pocket or hip pocket like a wallet. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Maxpedition makes both a larger and a micro size edc pocket organizer. A quick search on the net will pull up plenty of vendors.

Yes I realize that a quick search will pull up many but I am curious what ppl are actually using and what "works".

And actually in reading some edc threads on another popular edc forum, many ppl say that the maxp mini is too big to pocket outside of a cargo pocket and have it not look right or just feel odd so thats why I am polling the audience to see what people use as a pocketable edc.

We still don't know what kind of load out you want to lug around though, it helps greatly to provide details in this regard in order to receive accurate answers.

I only carrying a few things knife multitool pens flashlight. I just dont like a bunch of crap rolling around in my pockets.

I am in sales so I where dress pants and I am in and out of customers all day long. Basically what I hope to accomplish is to build the best kit I can to carry on my person that I can pocket in dress pants without it looking ridiculous

I couldn't find anything perfect out there, so I had to make my own.
I made this for my back left pocket:

The footprint is 5"x5", so it fits in any back pocket.
The Fuse has been replaced by a Rebar, but any of the items can be switched out for anything else of similar size.
If I were to make another, I'd sew in a flat pocket on the back to hold flat items like keys, cash, cards, or maybe a keychain size pry tool.

And this for my front left pocket:

2 pens, chapstick, Preon1, cash in money clip. On the bottom left corner are 2 elastic pouches that hold the mini Bic and spare batteries wrapped in saran wrap and tape.
I measured the size of one of my smaller front pockets and made it that size. If I had made it a little bit shorter it would fit better in smaller jeans pockets, but it works in most of my pants.
And the backing, onto which the leather is sewn, is velcro, both sides stuck together, so I have flat items (spare keys and emergency cash) sandwiched in between.

I keep both of these in my pockets all the time, in jeans, cargos, and in dress slacks 5 days a week at work.
Then, in my right front pocket is a knife and keys, and right rear holds a large Saddleback bifold wallet.
(pistol and spare mag on my belt)

I happen to have a plethora of max products.
The micro is pocketable, it will fit in my back jeans pocket, and in the front with a bit if bulge...let's face it, were all here cause we got gear, and its never gonna be totally 100% concealable. I'm also pretty small, at 30x30 my jean pockets only offer so much space.
Any other pants, sweats dress cargo, goes great.

The mini is slightly larger, and offers molle straps and hook and loop closure on the front mesh pocket. The inclusion if these two things alone along with slight increase in height and width make it considerably bigger for pocket carry, but will work fine still in a coat or cargo pocket.

Here's some picture justice...I saw skinth mentioned above...if you've only got a couple things that might be the way to go, but the overall quality and materials of Maxpedition products is superb in my experience. I've stuffed these organizers to the absolute brim, they will surprise you for sure.

In the pouch under the knife is two spare AAA batts zip tied...need to replenish zip ties as well!

Excuse my ignorance, but which are you showing above, the Micro or the Mini?

I'm guessing "Micro," but only because I have a 50% chance of being right. ;)

That is the micro

I would definitely get the micro for pocket purposes.

I can give you a side by side if u like...the mini is empty there's also a clip for keys in the mini and the addition of all those features (that you don't really need over the micro) that its thickness is about the same as the micro when its packed full. Useful for modular system on backpack , even then its got more things to hold than room to hold it I feel, but it depends on what you are trying to store.

If you get a micro I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I was. There are other companies too but maxpedition is tough like I said, I've got a bag with modular accessories I use for work every day, yet to have any failure. And they always hold more than you expect if and when you need them to, even if its ballooned to the size of a small football, your $h*t is organized!

I'll 2nd the Maxpedition Micro EDC. I carry it every day. One caveat, if you fill it up with a bunch of stuff like I did, I found that I needed better support than a belt. I now use suspenders to keep my pants up.

Thanks, guys, and no need for a side-by-side with the Mini. I just wanted to confirm the Micro was the one pictured.
