Looking for a fixed blade in M4

Never mind, man I didn't even read the title properly...:foot:

A little big but you could shorten it. Benchmade 171 Osborne Competition Cutter M4.

I think there are 2 or 3 versions of the Benchmade Snody Activator with M4. All of which are pricey.

Here is my BM 171 Chopper - and my BRK&T T.U.S.K. (A2) for scale comparison.

I may need to get some carbon fiber cable to make a neck knife out of the 171... and a better gripping sheath. It is CPM M4 - about 5/16" thick at the spine. Super cleaver.

You could try one of Phil Wilson's customs in M4, though be prepared to pay big:D. Actually, I don't believe you can get CPM-M4 in a fixed blade of the size you want without going custom. Perhaps you should try the Linder Powderit II knives I mentioned.

I noticed on Bark River's website, they list under Upcoming Production: Essential EDC CPM M-4

I have no idea when it'll be about, but being an "EDC" knife, I imagine it'll be a 3-6" blade.

My one and only knife in CPM M4, so far.

CPM M4 Mule

I look forward to trying more knives in this steel.

Anyone know where I could find some M4 mules? Seems hard to find

As I said, you'll have to watch the BST forums. They are not common, not cheap and don't hang around long looking for a new home when someone does put one up for sale.

You could also just go the custom route. One of the knifemakers here on BladeForums, Oleg Krymlin has made a number of CPM-M4 fixed blades in the size range you're looking for (for example, here, here, and here).

I own the last of the three that I just linked to, and it's an extremely well-made knife. His prices are also very reasonable -- almost certainly less than what you'd pay for a CPM-M4 mule on the secondary market. Just drop him an email to inquire about commissioning a CPM-M4 fixed blade made to your specifications.

I would guess you are right about the bang:buck question. The CPM-M4 Mules usually go for fancy prices, and are bare-tang.

Did you happen to get that at marks in B-ham?

I'm definitely going to have to get one.
