I was at HTO today and I found a Ti cup that I thought would fit over the 32oz. Nalgene bottles that I have. Wrong :o. I bought the Snow Peak 600 cup but it doesn't fit over the plastic Nalgene bottles. Almost but not quite. I think I may need the Snow Peak 650 instead. At any rate I will return it and buy the right one. I want to replace my plastic bottles with stainless steel or titanium in case I need to boil in them. I really like the Snow Peak Cups. Quality seems excellent. Need someone to recommend a good 32oz. ss or ti bottle and Snow Peak cup combo.:confused:Thanks a lot:) -DT

I use a standard Guyot and the Snow Peak Trek 700.

Another question I have is what about the mouth and the threads on the Guyot. I have a MSR water filter designed to screw right onto the old plastic Nalgenes. Will it work with this bottle?

Yes, the plastic Nalgene lid fits on the Guyot and vice versa.

I think twowolves still has the stainless GSI cup that nests with the Guyot and Nalgene bottles. Nalgene is actually distributing the Guyot bottles now.

I have two and they work well.

Twowolves does indeed carry both items. My lady got me both for the holidays. :)

Any idea how the Guyot/GSI cup combo would fit in the bottle pouch of the Maxpedition Fatboy Jumbo?

No funny taper like the Guyot. Just a 32oz cylinder with right angles. A stainless or ti version of this with a well-fitted ti cup or pot is what I'm looking for. I really need to learn how to post pics. I'm not too IT saavy.:o

This one looks right! When I watched that you tube clip it showed a tapered bottle. I want a SS (or Ti) version of your typical Nalgene 32oz like the one imaged on the right in the photo. And a Snow Peak or similar Ti cup that fits snuggly. The cup/pot might be the 700 from SP, not sure. Thanks for the help BTW. -DT

Oh OK, the pic of mine with the straight walls is called the "standard".......the tapered one is called the "backpacker."

edit: Stormstaff beat me to it! :D

I just ran and filled up my blue plastic one that says 32oz, filled it to the top of the rim and poured it into the SS Guyot which says 38oz and it came about 1/4" from the top of the rim.....so they are almost identical in capacity.

dttomcat, the tapered guyot is the 32oz model, while the non-tapered one as shown above is the 38oz model. http://www.twowolvesoutdoor.com/water.htm

So make sure you order the 38oz/standard model if you want the typical nalgene shape:thumbup:

edit: looks like Stormstaff and Farnsrocket have already clarified, sorry for the redundancy.:o

You guys are awesome!!! Middle of the night and I get expert answers to my questions.:thumbup: Now can someone tell me which ti ti ti cup Snow Peak or similar quality cup 16oz or so cup fits suggly but easily over the butt end of such a monster? The Snow Peak 700? Any other recommendations? Thanks to all for your unwarranted attention to my thread!:D:thumbup: -DT
