Hi folks. I'm trying to find a handle for a little hatchet head I picked up at a yard sale. The hatchet head is a Craftsman mini. It weighs 8 ounces and the eye is 0.96 x 0.33 inches.
I've never seen a replacement handle this small and my googlefoo is weak. Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely your Craftsman mini was made by Vaughan (ZS1/2 1/2" Axe Sportsman's sub-zero 1/2lbs)

Here's an original handle and one that I made out of an old broken axe handle. It did take some time. Cutting the shape of it, sanding it down(a lot) and fitting it to the head. Very satisfying making your own handle.

I did buy the handle from Vaughan and it's a perfect fit. It came without the kerf cut and me cutting a kerf that small was a bit of a challenge but I think it came out okay.
Thanks crbnSteeladdict for pointing me in the right direction.

Yes it is a Vaughan made hatchet, glad you were pointed in the right direction and got the Vaughan handle.
I had 3 of the little Vaughan's and love them, didn't really need all of 'em though so I gave one to my buddy a couple months back.

I always reshape these handles to be more appropriate for the tools size, plenty of meat there to get a great shape out of it.
