I am looking for rectangular knife blanks.
Details:

material : steel
length : 6 inch approx
width : 1/2 inch approx
thickness: 1 mm (0.040 inch)

I want them to be somewhat like hacksaw blades but much stronger so that they do not bend when pressed down (vertically) on vegetables like carrots.

Can any one help me find these knife blanks

Do a search for "scraper blades" or "floor scraper blades". I saw a few that were 5 or 8 inch, about .036" thick. Some may be thicker. I have seen both carbon and stainless. But they might be wider than you want.

A company like American Safety Razor Co., (Industrial Products Div) in Verona, VA makes all kinds of blades, scrapers and whatnot. They have been in business over 100 years. Their address is 1 Razor Blade Lane, LOL. (540) 248-8000 I'm sure they could set you up if you need a few thousand blanks.

The width and thickness will determine the stiffness. The type of steel or heat treat does not materially change the stiffness, only the ability to spring back without taking a permanent set.

How about these? https://www.homedepot.com/p/Better-Tools-8-in-Heavy-Duty-Scraper-Blades-50-Box-20107/206033120
