Hey all,
I'll be in LA this weekend, and wanted to know if a small sebbie in my pocket would be an issue. Anyone familiar with CA law? I could research it....but where is the fun in that? Is it true that a small folder in a pocket is always OK in CA?
Also, anyone know if the Comtech Stinger is legal in CA/L.A.?

Thanks in advance.

the sebenza is fine in la, provided you are an adult and carry it folded. i dont know what a comtech stinger is, more detail?

In LA the bigger the better, LMAO, whats wrong with kidns in possesion of such a great tool as a knife? AFAIK its legal for me a measily 16 year old to carry around a knife? Especially curious since I have ordered a 156 CSK 6" bowie 11 OVA.

los angeles has a municipal code prohibiting knife carry by minors. i dont write em. not saying its wrong, just illegal.

you can own them, just cant carry them inside la city. there may also be a county code, im not sure.

We'll in OC I don't think there are any municipal codes, so I hope I am ok.

This is the Comtech stinger.

It looks like it has many uses, I wonder if any of them are legal, but as a novelty keychain is it legal to carry?

probably not. looks like metal knuckles to me.

pc 12020 subsection definition: metal knuckles means any device or instrument made wholly or partially of metal wich is worn for purposes of offense or defense in or on the hand and which either protects the wearer's hand while striking a blow or increases the force of the impact from the blow or injury to the individual receiving the blow. the metal contained in the device may help support the hand or fist, provide a shield to protect it, or consist of projections or studs which would contact the individual receiving a blow.

Looks more like a keychain relic than a metal defensive device, which makes me wonder why kubatons are illegal for less lethal than a gun, those are legal.

If they say anything about the stinger say it is implace of a center punch for escaping a submerged vehicle. That would also make it make sense that it is on your key chain.
