So, I've had my eye on an LT Wright bushcrafter for a while now. I don't have the funds at the moment, just like to browse and stare lustily at the shiny knife candy. Anyway, I noticed that on their site, they are now offering the bushcrafter in 1075 steel. Is this knife still being produced in A2? I know that knivesshipfree still has the A2, just wondering if that stock will be limited. Also, is 1075 decent for an outdoor knife? I'm a big fan of esee and Becker 1095, but have no experience with 1075.

I can not swear to this but I think the 1075 steel is limited to their Bushcraft HC model. This model is their more budget bushcraft knife to get people more into Bushcraft knives. They are still making them in A2, this I am sure of. 1075 is a good steel and is nothing to be worried about using, but then again none of LT's knives are something you should feel a need to be delicate with! I am sure others with more steel knowledge will chime in to tell you the differences in 1095 and 1075!

Thanks for the info! When I eventually get one, I would prefer the A2 steel. I was concerned they wouldn't be available. Much appreciated friend!

I've had custom LT Wright knives (before BHK and the new LT's), custom BHKs and regular old BHKs. I've never had an issue, and kick myself for trading/selling them. I get caught up in the frenzy of getting a new knife.

I have the HC in 1075 and find it holds an ok edge and is easy to resharpen!! John
