vvk - yes.
I have been posting updates on my website/blog:
Leather sheaths are IN!
I sent emails out to the next 20 or so - handles are cut out and getting ready to glue-up. Just waiting on pins to show up.
Cool! Been really looking forward to this one!
It's been a couple of weeks. I still haven't received the knife.
Just sent the balance of $200.00 to [email protected]. Can't wait to get it! Thanks!
dan also just the balance of 200 to you paypal and a to you email as well, look forward to the knife.
Hey Dan, tried emailing you but havent gotten a reply yet. How long do I have before I need to send you the balance? rough estimate is fine, weeks, or months? Waiting for a check in the mail then I can shoot over the cash.
Final payment sent, Man am I excited!
Daniel-What's the status on these????
I'm wondering also.
Quoted because I am still wondering.
I've pretty much forgotten about the MUCK....
A quote from Dan's FAQ:Q. "But, but....Can you at least give me a timeframe on when my knife will be done?"
A. NOPE! If you pester me, yes, I'll give you a timeframe....and it will be wrong 99% of the time. Take whatever I tell you as a "shot in the dark". I never get it right. Stuff always happens. I'll get it done when I get it done. The more you bark, the more likely I'll shelf your knife and do it last. Those customers that are polite and nice and accomodating/patient seem to get their knives faster than the rest. Knifemaking is a PLEASURE for me. When it ceases to be a pleasure, I cease working on it."
He's a busy fella, A One man shop. Quality is like buying oats. If you want good clean, fresh oats you can expect it to take time and to pay a fair price. Oats from the other end of the horse come quicker and cheaper but ain't near as useful or tasty.
I'm still looking forward to this blade...I haven't forgotten.
