Search seems to be off, doesn't work on 2 letters anyway.I am looking for links to the M6.Pics,steel type, specs.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks

The M6 is SRKW proprietary labeled SR101. Modified/heat treated 52100, as I recall. 6" blade. Mine is .2625" at the spine with coating. I believe that the M6s were thru-hardened??

Sure about that? I've never seen where it was stated either way by the shop but my hunch would still be through hardened until told otherwise.

Of the new line, the Howling Rat LM, the Ratmandu and the Mini-Mojos were all through hardened. Porkerson said SRKW planned to only do the larger blades with a differential heat treatment since with the smaller blades saw no real benefit. The Mischief 6 was never specifically mentioned that I recall but, since it is smaller than the Mojo, I would assume it is through hardened as well.

Eric is on vacation now but should be able to tell us for sure next week.

Excellent job on a stripped/dc Mojo from Solstice - no temper line.

Old school RW - gorgeous temper line.

Anybody gotta pic of a stripped Chopweiler?

The regular M6 is differentially hardened. I don't know about the recurved custom jobbies, though. It's a fine blade, and it lives in my PSK.

Dug a little more and lots of folks were saying it said differential hardening when it was at the store. Doh! I guess differential it is. Learn something new every day - the problem lies in my unlearning 2 - 3 things every day.

My M6 user finish is looking pretty ratty. With a sweet temper line I've got a new reason to strip her down.
