Machete Picture Thread

Uh-oh... What's the story on this one? I am looking for a chopper for this summer and this fits the bill of what I'm looking for. Was considering some Bark Rivers or Extrema Ratio Krieos...

Just a pic I found on the Internet, sorry no info.

A corn knife, nice! :D

Thanks nick_30.

Yup! Back in the days when they made them fancy, like this 1893 depiction on the left. I have some laminated ones in my collection.:thumbup:

One of the best choppers I have used and it was almost embarrassingly inexpensive.

Nice, mqqn! I have never seen this knife. Dig it!

Found a Tramontina Bolo 14" at a local store for $10 so I snagged one. Gave it the same attention I gave the 18" machete.

I made some butterfly machetes a few years back:

Lasher Tool Machete (pretty much the Cold Steel Machete). Cleaned off all the black coating, added some primary and a decent edge.

I think the Scrap Yard 1311 counts as a heavy machete.

(h/t Baryonyx for the Tram. The special grade option rocks!)

Thats probably from Weyersburg. REALLY old I bet its worth a lot.

oh, boop:

Show off! :)
I'm gunning for one of your Warlocks Joe! Wealljuggleknives (on YouTube) sold me on its ability and toughness!!
I got 2 old WWII (or earlier?) Collins engineer bolos from my wife's grandfather right before he passed away.
One I've polished the edge (and cleaned up the convex edge), the other (with loose handle scales) I've not. Both have the original brass throated scabbards.
I'll try to scrounge a pic to post. ;)

Here is the same one as in post # 16 now cleaned up and resharpened. Quite a beauty, I think!
