Picked this one up today, was actually wanted to see if I could find a backpacker but no such luck and then I saw this beast, and while I have owned a bunch of 7 and 8 inch Randall 1s and 5s, I have never really held onto them because I didn't connect with them like I did the 3s and 4s and 25s and such. They were nicely made and I liked them, but there was always someone who wanted them more then I wanted to hold onto them.

This knife I really really like. This is my fist knife with a PVD coating, but I have a couple of 1911s with Ionbond which is the same thing, and love it for wear resistance and such.

I have read a bunch of old threads on here before buying bemoaning/arguing about the low heat treat on s35vn and s30v knives. Well as you can see, this one is 61-62 and Magnacut, which if my couple of sebenza magnacuts are anything to go by, I for-see no complaints at all about this knife.

Anyway here are some pics of it:

I was about to ask the price lol. I thought this was listed for sale when I got the email alert! Looks great. Where did you nab it? I'm waiting for the magnacut pacific, but I think I would jump on this if I found it in the wild.

Nice! Hope you didn't have to pay too much over. I actually just sold a pacific on there (before I applied for gold here). I had to sell it for about 440 to just break even!

Chris Reeves makes some really nice blades. Very happy that they went over to Magnacut as I have come to really appreciate that steel.
