This showed up in my mailbox a day or two ago... They raided the show grade Ebony stash for these Black beauties! A++
Bought this "brand new in packaging". Just showed up in the mail box today. Best $15 I think I've ever spent on a knife. Good F&F, great 'snap', and sharp right out of the plastic. It's not a fancy knife, but for $15 I just can't go wrong with it.
This just arrived. it's not super traditional as it is right now, but it will be when the piece of black walnut I plan to rehandle it with shows up .
And US made! Hard to beat that value, John! Nice H&S. Look forward to the re-handle. WIP pics please! 2 great knives there, Kiro! Congrats! Classy!
Awesome I just received the Beer Scout’s twin and totally love the cover material. Wasn’t sure I would like it as much as I do but boy am I happy I picked that one up. and you picked up an Ebony 15 to boot. Also a favorite of mine except mine is a clip. Welcome to the Beer Scout club. Now for me to hunt down more. Congratulations on a good week
Will do, I just hope the piece of wood eventually gets here. Over a week since it was shipped and it hasn't moved yet.
Finally found one of these on the "cheap". Case Dogleg Jack... It's unused but has a little tarnish and some slight pitting on the spine of the pen blade. But that's all the better, I won't be afraid to throw it in my pocket. It has great F&F, strong 'snaps', and solid half stops. I'm excited to finally own one of these. Edit: The pitting cleaned up with a little fine grit sandpaper and the tarnished removed with some Flitz. Looks almost good as new now.
What a handsome knife, John. Looks like it's been well kept. Looks great, John! Glad it fit your needs so well. Those are the best. Is that a 6207? Love the marking. Happy 4th!
And I wish they still made knives of this quality of build. This knife has strong pulls and a wicked loud 'snap'. It's built like a tank.
I've had good luck quality wise, but from what I can see the quality on this knife appears excellent.
Well, here it is. Charlie's latest SFO - "Real Lambfoot Knife". The build is exdellent with no glitches what so ever and the ebony covers are very dark and even. Since this knife is an old English pattern built by an American manufacturer I partnered it with a British Crown coin.
