Not sure if this has made it's rounds here or not, but I thought this was an incredibly awesome use of paracord.

I wonder how well it would work in a pinch. I'm sure it's much heavier than a standard fly, which wouldn't take up much space in a kit. Perhaps this would work for making several lures for a trot line?

Probably work just fine as a leech pattern. Not alot of life like movement to it but in a pinch.

Color would not matter anyhow if fished 10 feet or more deep as all color is lost at that depth (red being the first to go and blue penetrating the deepest) So all the fish will see is a silhouette of a tasty meal. :)
 
I think this fly suspended under a float would be great for silvers.
 
Cool :cool: Certainly worth try, whether casting or from a trot line. I don't think it would float very well since paracord absorbs water; that may be good or bad depending on conditions. As TLA mentioned, if you had a couple bobbers and sinkers you could rig it up all kindsa ways...
