Maker's mark I.D?

Hello all and glad to be here.
Posted this on r/axecraft and searched older threads here. Does anybody recognize this mark? I'm guessing it is European as per the 500 stamp referring to its weight in grams.

I know next to nothing about European axes. But it looks like a nice one! I'm sure someone will chime in..

No idea as far as markings go,but the shape-in a general sense-probably tends towards Southern Europe...

Not a huge ratio of inside of eye area per blade leverage,so more of an agricultural vs woodworking tool?...

A similar French axe...So yeah,kinda-sorta trending southerly in Europe,and would be difficult to call it east-west wise;a rather widely used shape...

Somebody suspected it to be German but the company logo used on their letterhead used a 7 pointed star with "SC" in the middle whereas this one is clearly six-pointed. Either way just glad to get these two together. I'm not sure where I got the info but the one stamped "700" is a Sandvik. Both were my grandfathers and I was able to reuse handles from other tools of his.
